Distribution: Japan (from Hokkaido to Ryukyu), Korea, China, Malaysia, India
Habitat: grasslands, forest edges, and gaps

Leaf: 3-5 leaflets ↔ Schizopepon bryoniifolius = simple

sparse hair on the face ↔ Cayratia japonica (ヤブガラシ)

Use: medicine, because of containing saponin
