Distribution: east Asia - China - Taiwan - Korea - Japan (south to southwestern Hokkaido)
Habitat: grasslands, forest edges, forest gaps, etc.
Seed dispersal: endo-zoochore (animal)
Chromosome number: 2n = 28
Use: edible
