Lifeform (生活型): evergreen bamboo with 10-20 m high
Distribution: endemic to Taiwan

invasive to Japan (Ryukyu) and the West Coast of USA

Habitat: open forests
Culm: new culms covered with a pastel blue powder for a few months before fading to an olive green
Use: edible (young shoot), besom
