Koyourakutsutsuji (コヨウラクツツジ, 小瓔珞躑躅)
Life form: deciduous shrub < 2 m in height
Distribution: Sakhalin - Japan - southern Kuril
Habitat: forest floor and edge, or rocky site

Leaf margin: serrate with hair (≈ 0.5 mm long)
Shoot: coarse hair when young
Synonyms:

Rhododendron pentandrum (Maxim.) Craven, used when Menziesia is not established
