Phyllodoce Salisb. (ツガザクラ)
Tsugazakura (ツガザクラ, 栂桜)
Life form: evergreen, creeping, short shrub < 20 cm in height
Distribution: endemic to Japan (in Shikoku and between Fukushima and Tottori in Honshu)
Habitat: rocky site in alpine zones
Leaf: 4-7 mm long
ssp. tsugifolia (Nakai) Toyok.
Nagabatsugazakura (ナガバツガザクラ, 長葉栂桜)
Distribution: Hokkaido and Honshu (north to Tohoku)
Leaf: 6-12 mm long
Synonyms:

- var. tsugifolia (Nakai) Ohwi
- var. oblongo-ovata (Tatew.) Toyok. ex Ohwi
