Lifeform: (semi-)evergreen perennial horsetail
Distribution: the Arctic Circle, including Japan (Hokkaido)

Habitat: wetlands, forest floors, etc.
Stem: no branching, 3-6 mm in diameter
Chromosome number: n = 108
Use: gardening
