Lifeform: evergreen, short tree < 15 m in height
Distribution: China (Zhejiang) - Taiwan - Korea - Japan (south to Yamagata and Miyagi)
Habitat: forests (森林)

Mount Takao forest for recreational use (高尾山自然休養林)

Fruit: red → seed dispersal: animial
Use: transplanted for developing windbreak forests

[1/2] flower buds on the summit of Mount Takao (599 m elevation), Tokyo, on October 21 2013. The tree was well-established in the campus of Niigata University (新潟大学) when I was abused.
