Ukonsou (ウコンコウ, 鬱金香) 今、こう呼ぶ人はいないだろう, so-called tulip (Didier's tulip or garden tulip)

Origin: probably in Turkey
Bulb: containing starch → edible
Pollen germination (花粉発芽)
Use: ornamental
Cultivars
Originated from T. gesneriana → no wild strains now
+ usually several species in their direct background
Propagation: bulb offsets, seeds or micropropagation
