Lifeform: summergreen in snowy regions, including Hokkaido, and evergreen in snow-free regions, including Honshu
Distribution: East Asia, including Japan
Habitat: mesic forest floor
Vein: dichotomous and hairless → number of veins (中軸分岐数)
Chromosome number: n= 36 (diploid)
Indusium: absent in snow-free regions (☛ Deparia, clearly seen)
