Lifeform: deciduous, semi-shrub (stem lignified at the bottom and branched) ≈ 1-3 m tall
Distribution: Mongol (Menggu) - China - Korea - Japan (south to Honshu, not in Hokkaido)
Habitat: sunny valleys, forest edges, roadsides, etc.
Leaf: 4-8 cm long, tailed
Leaf: non-trifid top
Synonyms:

Boehmeria japonica (L. f.) Miq. var. tenera (Blume) Friis et Wilmot-Dear
