Potentilla L. (キジムシロ)
Ezonomitsumotosou (エゾノミツモトソウ, 蝦夷水源草), Norwegian cinquefoil, or rough cinquefoil
Lifeform: annual, biennial or short-lived perennial forb
Distribution: native to Europe and perhaps North America (now widespread in the world, including Hokkaido and Alaska)

Hokkaido Blue List: A3, probably introduced in Meiji Era

Habitat: disturbed open lands, such as roadsides, grasslands and thickets
Leaf: 3-5 leaflets (5 at the base)
Flower: petal < calyx
Stipule: base gamophyllous with petiole Inflorescence: axillary bracteate cymes
