Fuu (フウ, 楓), formosa sweetgum, formosan gum or Chinese sweetgum

Meaning of Japanese name: maple-leaved sweet gum - not related to maple

Taiwanfuu (タイワンフウ, 台湾楓)
Lifeform: fast-growing, deciduous tree
Distribution: south-central China - Taiwan

introduced to Japan in around 1720 (Kyoho Era)

Habitat: moist soil and light to no shade
Utilization: gardening, park tree, street tree, etc.
