Apoi-kamba (アポイカンバ, アポイ樺), Apoi dwarf birch* (* tentative)
Lifeform: deciduous shrub ≤ 1 m tall
Distribution: domestic to Mount Apoi in Hokkaido, Japann

Origin: hybrid between B. ermanii and B. ovalifolia
Red Data Book of Japan: critically endangered (CR)

Assigned as Japan Geopark in 2008

Habitat: sunny, rocky, dry sites (reducing the populations and habitats)
Branch: brown → white
Seed dispersal: wind by wing
