Lifeform: perennial forb
var. nipponica H. Hara (リュウキンカ): Korea - Japan (Honshu and Kyushu)
var. pygmaea Makino (コバノリュウキンカ): extremely small
var. enkoso H. Hara (エンコウソウ)
Lifeform: stems are assurgent and then lie on the ground → roots initiationg from the stems
Distribution: Sakhalin - Japan (Honshu and Hokkaido) - Kuril
Habitat: mountains and wetlands
Stem: 50 cm tall

Distribution: Kuriles - northern Japan - Sakhalin - northern Korea - Ussuri
Habitat: wetlands, such as streamsides
