Hanasafuran (or Kurokkasu) (ハナサフラン/クロッカス), spring crocus / giant Dutch crocus

Distribution: native to eastern Europe

[1] it is not a garden. Just grows with lawn grasses. [2] In front of GSEES Building on May 2 2013. The flowering delayed in this year due probably to heavy snow. [3] In front of GSEES Building on April 6 2009, obviously different cultvar from [1/2]. Records: flowering in front of an apartment in N28/E3, East Ward, Sapporo, on March 30 2021.
