[1-3] The plants emerged from soil samples collected in Hotoke Swamp, Aomori Prefecture, northernmost, Honshu Japan, by Kimura H. To estimate seedbank composition. these samples were collected and used for seed germination experiments in a greenhosue of Center of Advanced Science and Technology (CAST), HU. The photos were taken on November 29 2008 (Kimura & Tsuyuzaki 2011, 露崎他 2007)

[1] along the Philosopher Path (哲学の道) of Hokkaido University on September 5 2011. In the greenhouse (see above), the growth was so well. [2-3] along a paved road in front of the Toya Lake Experimental Station of Hokkaido University, central Hokkaido, on September 18 2013 [4] at the backyard of GSEES, HU, on September 11 2015 when field training for Moiwa High School students were conducted.
