Petunia Juss. (ツクバネアサガオ) Tsukubane-asagao (ツクバネアサガオ, 衝羽根朝顔) petunia, or Pechunia (ペチュニア, phonological translation) Lifeform (生活型): treated as annual in Japan for gardening, due to low cold tolerance Distribution: native to south America → excaped from gardening in Japan

Putative hybrid: between P. axillaris (large white petunia) and P. integrifolia (violet-flowered petunia)→ many cultivars are produced
