Lifeform: perennial forb, 30-70 cm in height
Distribution: Ussuri - northeastern China - Japan

Hokkaido RDB: endangered

Habitat: sunny, mesic sites
Mycorrhizae: with orchid mycorrhizal fungi (菌根菌)
Use: gardening
f. flava Ohwi (キバナカキラン), no purple parts on the flower
f. subconformis Sakata (イソマカキラン), the shape of labellum = lateral sepal
