Yanagiran (ヤナギラン, 柳蘭), fireweed
Etymology: English common name is derived from the abundance soon after wildfire, or from the flower color
Lifeform: perennial forb
Distribution: throughout the temperate and cool Northern Hemisphere
Habit: pioneer species soon after disturbance, such as clearcutting, wildfire, and landslide
Synonyms:

Chamaenerion angustifolium (L.) Scop when established
Chamerion angustifolium (L.) Holub

ssp. circumvagum Mosquin (ウスゲヤナギラン)
