Kurobuna (クロブナ)
Lifeform: deciduous tall tree
Distribution: endemic to Japan (south to Tohoku District), more at the Pacific Sea side
Habitat: forests
Seed dispersal: gravity (or cache by rodents)
Leaf vein: ≈ 15 ↔ F. crenata = 7-11
Use: woods for furniture, tools, ship, etc.

Bark: smooth ↔ warthy lenticel
Leaf: lateral vein = 7-11 ↔ 9-14
