Mochinoki (モチノキ, 黐木), mochi tree, 10-20 m high when matured
Honmochi (ホンモチ, 本黐)
Life form: evergreen, short tree
Distribution: central/southern China - Taiwan - Japan (south th Tohoku District)
Habitat: evergreen forests
Fruit: red → Seed dispersal (種子散布): animal → Seed: deeply dormant
Use: gardening, birdlime (torimochi) from the bark
