Lifeform: deciduous tree, occasionally becoming more than 50 m in height
Distribution: native to eastern North America
Habitat in the native region: avoiding shade
Use: for landscaping, such as trees at parks and streets
Cultivars: many, e.g.,

Ardis, Arnold, Aureomarginatum, Fastigatum, Florida Strain, Integrifolium, JFS-Oz (Emerald City), Leucanthum, Little Volunteer, Mediopictum, and Roothaan
