Inugarashi (イヌガラシ, 犬芥子), variableleaf yellowcress
Lifeform: weedy perennial forb < 60 cm high
Distribution: east Asia, including the whole of Japan
Habitat: urbanized areas, crop fields, riversids, grasslands, etc. (wet sites)

Flower: no hair, φ = 4-5 mm
Style: short and thick
Fruit: 11-21 mm long
Leaf: few teeth

R. islandica fl = 3 mm, fr = 6 mm, st = slim, lf = many teeth

Chromosome number: 2n = 24, 32, or 48
