Lifeform: rhizomatous, summergreen fern, with 25-90 cm in height
Distribution: Europe - China - Korea - Japan (north to Chubu District) - North America
Habitat: mesic forest floors
Sorus: circular or kidney-shaped
ssp. kamtschaticum (C. Chr. et Hultén) A. et D.Löve (カラクサイノデ), formerly used (⇒ P. microchlamys (Christ) Matsum.)
