Lifeform: rhizomatous, summergreen fern
Distribution (controversial due to the taxonomy): northern and eastern China - Korea - Japan (north to central Honshu)

500-1800 m elevation in Mount Changbai

Habitat: forest floor

Field trip: Nature on lakes, volcanoes, sea and forests (海と湖と火山と森林の自然).

Chromosome number: 2n = 40
