Lifeform: perennial forb, developing orchid mycorrhiza
Distribution: northeast Russia, Korea - Japan (Hokkaido and north to central Honshu) - the Aleutian Islands - Alaska
Habitat: grasslands and wetlands (this species is categorized into '(sub-)alpine plant' in Honshu, while we see this even in the lowland of Hokkaido)

Records: in Shimo-Sarobetsu mire (a part of Sarobetsu mire) on May 27 2023. In an area, where the Otaru-Yoichi wind farm was planned, observed on June 15 2023.
